Follow the guide for an easy setup
A few settings,
then let your phone speak.
Follow this order in the app. Allow notification access and complete background protection before setting up the voice.
Allow notification access
Install and open DuitBell. Under DuitBell Setup Check, tap Open Notification Access, allow DuitBell, then return and tap Check Again.
Protect background running
Complete Step 2 manually in your phone settings. Allow background activity or auto-launch, return to DuitBell, then tap Done.
Choose a voice and test it
In Voice Check, tap Test Voice Alert. Set your speech language, select a voice available on your phone and test an actual payment notification.
Step 2: background settings for your phone
Tap Open Background Settings. If you cannot find DuitBell or the setting, return and tap Open App Info. Menu names vary by phone and Android version.
- Samsung: Settings → Apps → DuitBell → Battery → Unrestricted.
- OPPO / realme: Settings → Apps → DuitBell → Battery / Power consumption → allow background activity and auto-launch. Or enable DuitBell under Apps → Auto launch.
- Honor / Huawei: Settings → Apps → App launch → DuitBell → Manage manually. Enable Auto launch, Secondary launch and Run in background.
- vivo: Settings → Battery → Background power consumption management / High background power consumption → allow DuitBell.
- Xiaomi: Settings → Apps → Manage apps → DuitBell → Autostart. Or go to Permissions → Autostart and enable DuitBell.
Return to DuitBell and tap Done. Background protection is manually confirmed; test with your screen locked as well.
Voice check, volume and spoken language
In Voice Check, use Open System Voice Settings if a voice is missing, then tap Test Voice Alert. Keep media volume audible.
For a louder alert, enable Boost Voice Volume and move the slider to your preferred level. DuitBell temporarily raises media volume while speaking, then restores it.
Under Speech Language, select your currency region and Chinese, English or Malay. Under Voice Selection, choose a voice supported by your phone and test it. The app interface in the screenshots supports Chinese and English; spoken alerts can also be Malay.
Customise what DuitBell says
In Speech Content, edit the template for each language. Keep {amount}; it is replaced with the recognised payment amount.
- Chinese:

Duit diterima RM{amount}
Tap Save Speech Content when finished, then test the selected voice.
Payment keywords and duplicate alerts
In Filter Keywords (one per line), enter words that appear in your payment notifications, such as received, credited, 到账 or duit masuk. Tap Save Keywords.
Under Advanced Settings, enable Only speak notifications with amount to filter messages without an amount, and Do not repeat duplicate notifications to reduce repeated alerts. Test with the payment apps you use.

Can I try DuitBell before buying?
Yes. Everyone who downloads DuitBell gets a 7-day free trial. Install it from Google Play, complete the setup and test your payment notifications before buying an activation code.
Why are the voice settings not showing?
Complete Step 2: Background Protection first and tap Done. The voice settings appear after that step is confirmed.
Why is there no voice alert?
Check notification access, media volume and Do Not Disturb. Confirm your payment app sends a notification and its text matches your filter keywords. Check background protection and test the selected voice, including with the screen locked.
Does it work with my bank or e-wallet?
DuitBell recognises payment notifications using keywords. Compatibility depends on the notification text and your settings. Try the app with the bank or e-wallet you use before buying an activation code.
How do I activate my code?
In License / Trial, enter your activation code and tap Activate. Each code can be used once.The free September code can be given to a friend or used on a second phone; it does not extend the first code automatically.
